The Hampton Arts Staff

Maria is a Hampton resident. She received the Provost scholarship to attend Virginia Commonwealth University where she earned a B.F.A. in Communication Arts & Design in 2000. Maria began working with Hampton Arts in 2001 as a Gallery Assistant at The Charles H. Taylor Arts Center. In 2002 she moved to the American Theatre as House Manager and she was appointed to Box Office Manager in May 2003. Maria loves her handsome white dog and her family. She married the wonderful and talented Matt Thomas in January 2005 right on stage here at The American Theatre. Her interests and obsessions include movies, music, literature, and Japanese culture. Maria is also an occasional freelance writer and a perpetual dreamer.
