The Hampton Arts Staff

Debbie Maida is our newest full time employee in our Hampton Arts family. Formerly hired as an Arts Aide, she has now moved up to earn a new title as the Hampton Arts Assistant Manager. She is very busy between The American Theatre, where she assists in the box office, business duties and the house manager for different performances. When she is not at the theatre you can find her at The Charles H. Taylor Arts Center assisting the gallery manager, with the daily necessities of running a gallery. She loves her job because she gets to help everyone, which she is known to do. She never considers it work, she thinks of it as having fun! Debbie moved here in 1975 and graduated from ODU earning a BS degree in Psychology in 1976. She has raised to wonderful daughters, both of whom have earned art degrees. Guess you could say art was and still is a major part of their lives. When Debbie is not at work she is busy taking care of others, volunteering for CHKD, enjoying her family and friends and loves being outdoors “playing” in her yard.
